As a former High School Head Football Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach over the past decade, Coach Johnson has worked tirelessly to change the way we look at Athletics and how it affects our communities. Building a healthy and competitive environment with his players over the years has proven much success as he was able to send many players off to college and start other great careers and professions. 

As a 2004 alumnus of PTHS, Coach Johnson played for his predecessors John Rosnick and William McDowell, and finished his high school campaign as a 2x team captain, 2x All-Conference Lineman, 3x varsity letter winner in football, and 3x varsity letter winner in track and field. Even as a multi-sport athlete, he found time for better balance as he joined the PTHS Black History Club and also stayed active in the community through various community service activities such as coaching youth basketball at the age of 17.

After graduating from Pemberton and playing football at Kean University where he started as a true freshman, he finished his career as a First-Team All NJAC Offensive Lineman. During his time at Kean, under the mentorship of Dan Garrett, Kareem began to adopt many of Garrett’s and Rosnick's lessons and  philosophies over the years to achieve his goals.

After graduating from Kean University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and currently working on his Masters in Secondary Education, Coach looks forward to giving back to his community.
